Meet the Team
Ali Hashmat
Founder, CEO, Technology Partner Innovations, LLC
A graduate from State University of New York, Ali has dedicated his entire career to advancing health care technologies. His passion is creating an “all-in-one” experience that strengthens the connections between practitioners, patients, and distribution channels, and he uses that passion to inspire the development of NaVetor to revolutionize the veterinarian market.
Prior Life: Co-founded CureMD – a cloud-based practice management software for the human market, and founded CurePet, an early cloud-based software for veterinary universities and specialty hospitals.
Other Activities: Board member of Cure Partners and UrgentWay. Also involved in offshore development companies.
The Personal Side: Lives with his wife and son and loves to spend leisure time playing golf and ping pong, travelling, reading books, and watching movies.
Christal Hahn
Director of Commercial Software, Patterson Veterinary
Christal helps to guide the NaVetor vision as a software solution to run both clinical operations and business operations for veterinary practices. She also oversees integration partnerships and product management for NaVetor as well as all of Patterson Veterinary’s technology solutions.
Prior Life: Served in a variety of positions with Patterson since 2001. Still actively involved with all of Patterson’s veterinary technology solutions such as IntraVet, ePetHealth, DIA and Market Hound – in addition to NaVetor. Used to work at a local finance company.
Other Activities: Member of Women in Leadership and Management in Animal Health (WILMAH).
The Personal Side: Christal lives in southern Illinois with her husband, son (age 12) and identical twin daughters (ages 10).
Jake Fuesting
General Manager, Patterson Veterinary
Jake works behind the scenes to ensure NaVetor business operations are running successfully. He provides customer experience and product management oversight for all of Patterson Veterinary’s technology solutions including NaVetor.
Prior Life: Served in the United States Army’s 101st Airborne Division as an Infantryman. Also served as a Civil Affairs Specialist, coordinating civil-military operations throughout different regions of the Middle East.
Other Activities: Serves with a local mentoring program for combat veterans who need a hand in adjusting to civilian life.
The Personal Side: Lives in the small, rural town of Dieterich, IL, with his wife, Stephanie, and 3 children, Wyatt, Lydia, and Levi. Jake is an avid outdoorsmen, hunting whitetail deer in the fall, wild turkeys in the spring, and fishing in the summer.
Melissa Niemerg
Support Operations, Patterson Veterinary
Melissa oversees support operations for Patterson Veterinary Technology Solutions, leading teams dedicated to providing world class customer service from the Patterson Technology Center. From tackling software bugs to taking in customer feedback and putting it to good use, her team’s primary mission is to enhance the NaVetor experience through every contact with users of NaVetor.
Mubeen Hayee
Executive Vice President, Development
Mubeen brings over 20 years of experience in developing and managing healthcare IT applications. He is responsible for the overall architecture of Navetor and helps guide the technology to solve customer and business problems.
Prior Life: Worked as VP Operations for CureMD, a leading practice management system for the ambulatory market, when the company grew more than 400%. Mubeen holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Houston.
Other Activities: He is an avid reader and likes to mentor startups.
The Personal Side: He lives with his wife and two daughters.
Mel Heinz
Sales Manager, Patterson Veterinary
Melissa (Mel) Heinz is a veterinary software guru, having worked in the industry for 7 years selling both cloud and server-based software. At Patterson, she leads the team that sells both NaVetor and IntraVet software solutions.
Prior Life: Coached college soccer for more than 20 years and spent time as a USA scout.
Other Activities: Still coaches soccer on the side, and helps in her community and church.
The Personal Side: Lives in South Carolina and loves to hike, mountain bike, kayak, run and work out. As if that’s not enough, she recently took up road cycling, too. Married for five years, Mel loves to spend time with family, friends, and neighbors, as well as get some church time in.
Karla King
Communications Manager, Patterson Veterinary
Karla is responsible for ongoing communications with NaVetor customers, helping them get the most out of their software investment through webinars, training, and use of features and integrations.
Prior Life: Worked on the development team at PSI that first brought Cornerstone to market, before IDEXX purchased PSI from Hills’ Pet Nutrition. Also worked as a software specialist with Patterson Dental before moving to the veterinary division.
Other Activities: Loves to cook, especially for others who have recently had surgeries or illnesses.
The Personal Side: Shares her life with her Bassett Hound, Beauregard, along with other friends and family members.
Jasmin Hardimon
Customer Onboarding, Patterson Veterinary
Jasmin oversees onboarding for Patterson Veterinary Technology Solutions. From enrollment to conversion to training, her team’s mission is to enhance the onboarding experience through every contact, setting veterinary practices up for success.
Staci Thorne, CVT
Technology Products Partnership Manager, Patterson Veterinary
Staci supports the day-to-day interaction between all Patterson Veterinary Technology departments and Patterson’s integration partners. She serves as the key relationship manager with her primary focus being maintaining and enhancing existing partnerships. She represents both parties as they work together to create and achieve the goals of bringing wonderful products to veterinary clinics.
Chelsea Lindemann
Product Support Manager, Patterson Veterinary
Chelsea oversees product support operations for Patterson Veterinary Technology Solutions, leading support in product education from the Patterson Technology Center. From tackling software bugs to customer feedback, her goal is to enhance the user experience of NaVetor.
